Description:
CFY's Web Development Interns are be part of a small and vibrant
team that develops content for, builds, maintains, and evaluates
the this website (www.communitycorner.org). Community Corner is
the home page, the entry point, for the children and families who
participate in CFY's programs.
The
internship positions encourage a great deal of creativity, self
direction and teamwork. However, the work also requires patience,
attention to detail and a willingness to spend time on some menial
tasks.
Requirements:
- High school degree or GED required; individuals with some college
are preferred.
- Familiarity with computers and the Internet; individuals with
some web design skills are preferred.
- Basic keyboarding/typing skills.
- Interest in education, community development, and the Internet.
- Experience with lower-income, culturally diverse populations.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Good work habits: Reliable, on-time, motivated, communicative,
and willing to work.
- Good writing skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to be thorough.
- Ability to speak, write and read in Spanish is a plus!!
