Build
a good credit history
Set
up a savings
account : It's a smart idea to
deposit money on a regular basis and
to never overdraw
your account.
Put
utility services in your name: Your
telephone, electric, and cable services
are provided to you on credit with
the understanding that you will pay
for what you use every month. If the
utility bills are in your name and
you pay your bills on time, you can
use your monthly bill statements as
proof of your credit.
Pay
any student loans on time.
Obtain
a credit card and make your payments
on time.
If you already have
a bad credit history, don't get discouraged!!
Get
a copy of your credit report to see where
you have fallen behind.
Set up a budget
and stick to it!
Get some help. Contact
If you have bad credit,
don't use your credit cards
but
don't cancel them (because you might not
be able to get another one). Put them in
a bottle of water and freeze them in the
freezer
