  The Exploratorium Science Snacks
    The Exploratorium is a really famous and really fun science center in San Francisco. This site shows you how to fun science activities at home. It tells you what materials you need and how you go about doing the experiment. Some of the activities are about why the sky is blue and how bones get stressed. These snacks are definitely worth tasting!
     
  KidsClick
    This site was created by librarians for kids, so it has a variety of very good links. There are links and information about Weird and Mysterious things like aliens as well as more common things like how to take care of your pet gerbil. Some of the great things on this site are science experiments that kids can do at home. Check out the “lumia box”, “giant air cannon”, “crystal garden” and “simple animation devices.”
     
  NIEHS for Kids en Español
    This Spanish site is rich in content. It talks about the elements of nature and how to preserve them. It teaches kids about these facts through games, painting and music lyrics that you can sing them as you listen to them. Moreover it provides more links about other good Spanish sites. Some of the links that NIEHS offers are Lo Que Usted Necesita: Español (DHHS) and La Ciencia es divertida
     
 
Scholastic Kids
    This site has many stories. Stories like David Goes to School by David Shannon, The Friendship Ring by Rachel Vail, and Harlem by Walter Dean Myers. It also has games such as “The Great Habitat Match-Up” where you can learn about endangered species and their habitats and clubs that let you interact with other members.
     
  BrainPop
    BrainPop is an great source of fun animations that can help you learn more about math, health, technology, etc. Each movie also comes with an Interactive Quiz, an Experiment, a Comic Strip, a How-to hands on application, a Timeline and a print-able Activity Page. You can view a couple for free but to see everything, you must subscribe. For families, the cost is $35 each year. See if it's worth it for you.
     
  Questacon: Hands On Science
    This site has excellent entertainment & fun zones. Some of the activities require Shockwave.
