Installing a Printer: |

| 2. | Double-click on Add Printer. | |
| 3. | In the Add Printer Wizard, click Next > to continue. | |
| 4. | Select Local Printer, and click Next > to continue. | |
| 5. | From the list, first choose the manufacturer and then the model of your printer and click Next >. If your printer is not listed or has an installation disk, click Have Disk... | |
| 6. | Go to the specific location for the installation file for your printer by selecting Browse. | |
| 7. | You may select A: (Floppy) or D: (CD-ROM), depending on whether the manufacturer has provided a floppy disk or a CD-ROM. Then click OK. | |
| 8. | Click Next > to continue. | |
| 9. | Choose the Printer Name, and click Next to continue. | |
| 10. | Print a test page to make sure your printer is working properly, and click Finish. | |

| Installing Speakers/Headphones: | ||
| You can plug powered PC speakers or headphones into a speaker port on the back of the computer. The jack is indicated as 'Out', 'Audio Out', 'Speaker', or an image of an arrow pointing out. You can also connect headphones on the front panel of your CD-ROM drive to listen to audio CDs. | ||

| Installing a Scanner: | ||

Insert your scanner card [DEFINITION NEEDED] into an empty expansion slot [An opening in a computer where a circuit board can be inserted to add new capabilities to your computer such as a scanner] on your PC. |

| 2. | Connect your scanner cable to the scanner port in the back of your computer to the scanner. | |
| 3. | Run the installation software provided on the disks included with your scanner. These disks contain drivers [DEFINITION NEEDED ?] allowing your PC to communicate with your scanner. | |
| 4. | Aquire images from your scanner using a program from your installation disk or IrfanView, a great free utility. | |

You can go to a store such as Best Buy or CompUSA and buy a USB PCI card. | You can plug a microphone into a sound card port on the back of the computer. The jack is indicated with Mic In, Mic, or an image of a microphone. | ||
